Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

In the world of magic everybody hides a secret and this becomes clear in the second movie of the saga Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

We follow the story of Newt Scamander months after the events in New York after Grinderwarld is caught and transferred  toEurope to respond for the crimes he has committed. In a new turn of events, Newt is involved in the search for Credence that has great power even though unstable (for the obscurus inside him that destroyed New York) and Grindelwald, that has a secret agenda to initiate a revolution.

While we already had several surprises watching the trailer and the statements made by JK Rowling as the origin of Nagini, the film explores new mysteries like the origin of Credence’s family, the past of Leta Lestrange and her relationship with the Scamander Brothers, and the union that exists between Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald.

We have new Magical Creatures, as beautiful and fascinating as in the first movie and of course the return of lovely animals like the elusive Niffler and the loving Bowtruckles.

Over time the saga of Fantastic Beasts gets closer and closer to the story of Harry Potter. We return to Hogwarts at least for a few moments and go back to the place where everything started and it is interesting to see familiar characters in their youth.

Finally,  the moment when the magic war is about to break out and each person has to choose which side they will fight. All are important pieces in an elaborate puzzle that take us to the final battle to defeat the evil wizard Grindelwald. And although we all know what that leads to, there is no doubt that each element of this story gives us elements full of mysticism and adventure.

We travel through various places, from London to Paris, from the Muggle world to the headquarters of the French Ministry, with spectacular views and costumes from the 1920s, so the film becomes a visual delight at all times.

Although it may be full of information  in a very short time, in general terms it is a very interesting story.

A story full of magic and surprises that make us beg to know what happens next.
